Le Figaro reports that after a first unsuccessful attempt, Safran is launching a friendly takeover bid of nearly 10 billion euros for the ailing French aircraft seat specialist Zodiac. Some shareholders, led by CIAM, denounced the ineffective governance of the company, which was too family-owned and not professional enough, and questioned the competence of the management. The giant formed by the merger of the two groups is expected to generate 21 billion euros in revenues.
